Purpose

ChuckPrice.com is a personal website created to share life with family and friends.  While portions of the site are public, most content is reserved for people I know who register for access.

History

Website

  • 2005 - #1 Google rank for my name
  • 2001 - First webcam goes online
  • 2000 - Site moves to chuckprice.com
  • 1995 - Initial web site goes live and my SysOp days end

Pre-Web BBS

  • 1994 - Reciprocity BBS in Chicago, IL (FidoNet 1:115/296)
  • 1992 - I began exchanging internet mail as chival.bogus.com
  • 1989 - Chivalry! BBS in Denver, CO (FidoNet 1:104/916)
  • 1987 - The Citadel BBS in Portage, IN (FidoNet ?)

Design

The current design is a modification of a theme titled "Zenlike" available for free from FreeCSSTemplates.org.

Site Platform

The site has been hosted on a computer in my basement since 2004. It is currently running on Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2.

Development Tools

I use Microsoft Expression and PhotoShop to design and develop the site.  Photos are processed by Adobe Lightroom. 

Photography

I currently use a Canon EOS 40D (10 mp) body.  Older photos were shot with cameras as low as 1.5mp in resolution   Photos older than 1999 are scanned from prints. 

Kathy currently uses a Canon PowerShot 800IS.
