Thanks primarily to my Grandpa Bailey, I read a lot as a kid. He passed along
hundreds of books to me after he read them himself. I read every book in the
Hardy Boys mysteries, all of Zane Grey's westerns, followed Tom Swift on his
adventures in space and much more. But in sixth grade I discovered fantasy
novels as well when I read The Hobbit, by J. R. R. Tolkien.
These days I generally read a book a month -- more if I travel a lot for business.
Here, I offer my thoughts on each major series I've read. If you're
looking for something new to read and you like scifi/fantasy novels, you might find
something here!
Please note these are my opinions as a reader. You may disagree -- loving
a book I found boring or hating one I found fascinating. That's ok --
honest.
